The School is founded on the realization that a more open and creative approach is required if the full scale and intelligence of this teaching is to be fully explored. Though strongly rooted in the fundamental ideas and practices Gurdjieff brought, this new approach grounds itself in inquiry into the nature and expression of self that leads to the fullest extension of its meaning.

Students in The School participate in Group Work, Seminars, Days of Exploration, weekly meetings, meditation, exercises and tasks, and private interviews. Participation is also possible for those located in areas where active groups are yet to exist.
